This October, we’re thrilled to be celebrating a major milestone—Amber’s 5-year anniversary at Luxe Beauty Bar! Over the past half-decade, Amber has grown into not just an exceptional stylist, but a cornerstone of our Luxe family. Her talent, warmth, and dedication to her clients have made her a favorite behind the chair, and we couldn't be prouder to have her on our team.

We sat down with Amber to reflect on her journey, her growth, and what continues to inspire her in the world of hair.

The Beginning of a Beautiful Career

Every stylist remembers their first client—and for Amber, that memory is still very much part of her present.

Do you remember your very first client behind the chair?

Amber: "Yes, Alexa B—and I still do her hair!"

That kind of loyalty and connection speaks volumes about Amber’s approach to her work: building lasting relationships, not just booking appointments.

Five Years, Countless Lessons

A lot can change in five years. Styles evolve, techniques improve, but some lessons stick with you no matter how experienced you get.

What's the biggest lesson you've learned in your 5 years of doing hair?

Amber: "Give grace."

Whether it’s to a client having a tough day, or to herself during the busiest seasons, Amber’s reminder to give grace is a beautiful reflection of the care she puts into every part of her job.

From Blonding to Brunettes: A Shift in Passion

Amber started out loving all things blonding—but like any artist, her focus has shifted with time, creativity, and experience.

What service or technique do you enjoy doing most now, and has that changed over the years?

Amber: "Brunettes, the most. Yes, I used to be more into just blonding, but now brunettes are my thing."

"Making it to 5 years."

"The most rewarding part of being a stylist is the way I get to make women feel about themselves."

Funniest or most unexpected moment?

Amber: "My client sent me a bidet."

(Yes, really. We’ll just leave that one there.)

Staying inspired in a fast-moving industry can be a challenge, but Amber finds motivation in the creativity of others.

"I stay inspired by looking at other people's work."

This curiosity and commitment to growth has led her to learn three different extension methods in just five years—an accomplishment she’s rightfully proud of.

If She Could Talk to Day-One Amber...

What advice would you give to your day one stylist self?

Amber: “Be kind to yourself.”

Like many stylists starting out, Amber admits to being hard on herself in the beginning. Her advice now? Extend the same grace to yourself that you give to others. Growth takes time—and kindness.

Go-to coffee or snack to get through a busy day?

Amber: “Iced vanilla latte with almond milk and an extra shot of espresso—and granola bars.”

Favorite product or tool you can’t live without?

Amber: “Beach waver.”

If you weren’t a stylist, what would you be doing instead?

Amber: “In-home caregiver.”

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years of your career?

Amber: “Really nailing down my craft.”
