Year 6. The Year We Went From a Lease to a Mortgage!!

Six years ago, Luxe was a dream and a whole lot of faith, and today we're celebrating our sixth anniversary with more gratitude than we know what to do with. This past chapter brought one of our biggest milestones yet: moving into our beautiful new location. If you followed along during the buildout, you know it wasn't exactly a straight line. Between delays, redesigns, and more "okay, new plan" moments than we can count, we learned to pivot quickly and trust each other through every change. Ashley and Annie (along with their friends, family and teammates) spent many late nights picking finishes, painting walls and assembling stations fueled by coffee and the belief that it would all be worth it. Walking through our doors now, we can honestly say it was.

A salon is only as strong as the people in it, and our team has grown and changed in ways that make us proud. We said goodbye to two stylists who helped shape Luxe, and we'll always be grateful for the chapters they wrote with us. At the same time, we welcomed incredible new stylists who brought fresh energy and talent from day one. We've now completed 4 assistant programs, watching talented assistants grow into confident stylists behind the chair. Along the way, every one of our teammates has gone through life changes and we’ve celebrated every one of those moments together, because that's what a real team does.

Education has always been at the heart of Luxe, and we host two to three big education events every year to keep our skills sharp and our passion alive. These events push us to try new techniques, challenge old habits, and bring the latest trends straight to your chair. Behind the scenes, we've also made major changes to our structures and systems, from booking and front desk processes, pricing structure, team meetings and goal tracking. Our front desk team has been the backbone of so many of those improvements, keeping everything running smoothly for our guests. We've also made time for plenty of team bonding, from dinners, game nights, trips and holiday parties, because a team that laughs together works better together. Every one of these investments has helped us grow not just as a business, but as people.

One of the things we're proudest of is how each stylist has found their niche and truly owned it. Makaleigh has become our go-to for lived-in blondes, while Ashley and Annie have built a loyal following for extensions. Nicole shines with precision cuts, and Abby has become the fashion color queen who comes up with the most vibrant color combinations. Miranda has leaned into curly hair and Maddie has built a demand to be in her chair that most stylists in CA dream of. Liz, Brooke and our YAs - Jillian, Ella, and Sanalisa - have worked hard as a salon coordinator team to help the salon flow seamlessly making Luxe a place where every guest can find their perfect match. Watching our team specialize has made us stronger as a salon and helped each stylist build a career they love.

To our guests, thank you for trusting us, sitting in our chairs, referring your friends, and following us to our new home. To our team, thank you for your talent, your heart, and your willingness to grow alongside us through every season. Six years in, Luxe feels less like a salon and more like a family that happens to do amazing hair. We can't wait to see what year seven brings, and we're so thankful you're part of it.
